Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager SC/OPS F&A U.S. Manufacturing the selected candidate will be part of a highly visible Global Supply team working cross functionally with business partners across Finance, Operations, Product Development and Master Data. 

 

The role entails developing and implementing cost accounting standards based on a thorough understanding of cost drivers such as labor utilization, overhead and related allocations, routings, BOMS and variances. The person in this role will be responsible for the cost related functions as well as analysis and reporting. The right candidate will possess a commitment to timeliness, accuracy, teamwork and accountability, and will possess the ability to effectively interact with numerous disciplines, customers, and vendors.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Cost accounting activities, which include but is not limited to:

  • Prepares and directs the implementation of cost accounting methods and activities
  • Be responsible for managing and maintaining standard costing system
  • Master Data maintenance for product costing and pricing
  • Manage and execute costing and pricing loads to SAP
  • Work closely with costing team and SFA to support the product management group, regional finance and other departments on providing costing and pricing information on new and existing products.
  • Prepare cost accounting reports and analysis for presentation to management
  • Establish/maintain product costing standards including preparation of labor and overhead rates and material standards
  • Review, analyze and communicate standard cost changes
  • SAP Subject Matter Expert for product costing – assist with projects, enhancements, testing and review of processes
  • Support the pricing team to ensure that it is producing high quality, accurate and timely pricing information for the organization
  • Demonstrate ability to create, change and influence change in organizations  
  • Maintain and enhance internal accounting controls
  • Support the review of internal and external audit
  • Adhere to company integrity program and ethics policy
  • Other tasks as determined necessary to the job function

 

Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Advanced analytical skills and cost accounting knowledge
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment in a multi-person department
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude along with a great work ethic and the ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
  • At least 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry
  • Experience with SAP, preferably S4
  • Ability to apply knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
