Summary

The Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits position oversees the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's global compensation and benefits programs ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The senior manager will drive competitive, sustainable, and scalable initiatives that have an impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization as well as employee experience. Provides strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of our total rewards programs including health, welfare, wellness, retirement, base pay, incentives, and other rewards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design and administration of global benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness and recognition plans. Manage benefits annual renewal process in the United States, including cost assessment and proposals for new programs or program changes. Support benefits programs in all other countries.
  • Ensure that benefits are competitive and compliant with local laws and regulations in each country of operation. Conduct market analysis to benchmark total rewards offerings against industry standards. Responsible for managing benefit vendor relationships.
  • Conduct salary surveys and job evaluations to ensure competitive pay practices globally. Analyze compensation trends and economic conditions in different countries to inform strategic decisions. Provide insights on compensation trends and legislative changes.
  • Manage salary planning, job analysis and evaluation, job architecture, and survey participation efforts. Directs and develops compensation education and communication efforts. Responsible for the administration of the year-end compensation planning (merit) program.
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders and partners to define and refine benefit, compensation strategies, programs, and practices to support business objectives and elevate the employee experience.
  • Forecast costs and analyze the financial impact of compensation and benefits programs. Ensure all programs are delivered within budget and demonstrate return on investment.
  • Collaborate with, and advise, management and talent acquisition on compensation matters, including new hire offers, promotional increases, salary adjustments, etc.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to navigate the complexities of global compensation and benefits.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to legal requirements in compensation and benefits practices such as 5500 filing, COBRA, HIPAA, & ERISA. Stay updated on international labor laws, tax regulations, and employment practices to ensure compliance across all regions.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits. Proven ability in benefits strategy and administration as well as compensation execution.
  • Thrives in role ownership while managing direct reports, partnering and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; comfortable handling the unexpected and balancing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to perform analysis of data (e.g., compensation data, business outcomes, etc.) and present results clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate concepts, make presentations and present complex written information and findings in a highly professional manner.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage change and conflict.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision making and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) and collaboration tools like MS Teams, and leveraging virtual meeting tools for training delivery.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements affecting benefit programs including (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and DOL)
  • Detail-oriented and a team player with the ability to manage change, conflicts and projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective customer and professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship-building and consistent demonstration of solid professional judgment.

 

 

Base Salary Range: 145,000-164,000, this role is also eligible for participation in Weber's bonus program.
