Position Overview:

The Operations Master Scheduler is responsible for developing a master production schedule that meets the needs of our global inventory plan while balancing against the capacity of Weber’s manufacturing process.  The execution of the master schedule is closely monitored and managed to proactively address outliers.  The Operations Master Scheduler reports directly to the Manager of Operations Planning.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and optimize a master schedule that balances Weber’s manufacturing capacity in fulfillment of our global finished goods inventory plan
  • Support operations schedule attainment by providing attainable schedules to minimize variability between expected and actual results.
  • Ensure raw material and work-in-process inventory is aligned to support production needs with no interruption.
  • Monitor customer order fill rate performance with global inventory planning and mitigate key drivers impacting performance across all global stocking locations.
  • Identify and impact waste, both physical and transactional, to reduce production lead times, improve schedule attainment and increase inventory turns.
  • Collaborate with supporting functions to ensure plans are realized:  Global Planning, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Inventory Control, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Support new product planning process to ensure material planning needs are incorporated and executed.
  • Translate future production plans into inventory investment projections that meet our inventory turns goals and ensure plans are executed.
  • Partner with global planning and production planning to ensure master schedule plans can be supported by supplier capacity and physical factory storage footprint.
  • Assume leadership role on one or more of the team’s key performance indicators, coordinating review, assessment, feedback and action plans.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or Business required
  • At least 5 years of supply chain experience desired
  • Demonstrated success at problem solving within a business environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Planning and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask required
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Experience with SAP a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred
