Summary:
The S4 HANA Technical Manager is responsible for delivering a quality solution to Weber business, meeting their business requirements. This position is responsible to lead current technical development team and work with IT Business partners and Technology team members to understand their requirements, review functional specifications, design, and implement solutions, testing (unit testing and support various testing cycles). Also, this position will work closely with other teams (Integration teams, EDI, Basis, and security teams) to build custom solutions including interfaces to/from S4 HANA system. The candidate is also responsible for managing AES team’s deliverables. The candidate will maintain effective relationships with the contractors and part time resources, System Integrator (SI), and other IT resources to leverage their knowledge and expertise to enable improved business processes to drive process optimization and simplification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, and other duties may be assigned):
- Manage and lead S4 HANA Technical team (including AES).
- Design, develop and support custom solutions in the S4 HANA system (including TM and EWM) as per business requirements.
- Analyze and document complex business requirements and performs impact analysis.
- Develop technical specifications for custom S4 development and for interfaces to other applications.
- Responsible for resolving the help desk requests, including Break Fix, Support Master Data, small enhancements, Reporting and other business requests.
- Perform Root cause analysis and provide solutions.
- Take an active role in change control processes for testing & implementing system changes, fixes, enhancements, etc.
- Work with Integration and EDI team to implement new interfaces, EDI transactions and Trading partners.
- Work with IT functional team members and business partners throughout the process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Lead and assist small to moderate size enhancements and projects (technical area).
- Coordinate with SAP team and internal IT resources on critical/complex issues.
- Mediate across different IT & business teams utilizing knowledge of roles and responsibilities within the organization.
- Execute best practices for business analysis processes and functions (from an industry and strategic standpoint), including requirements elicitation methods. Knows emerging trends.
- Continually build knowledge and stay abreast of current SAP functionality, capabilities, and technologies.
Education and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working as an S4 HANA/SAP Technical developer. Priori team lead experience is required.
- In depth knowledge of ABAP in RICEFW area along with AO reports, Idocs, CPI and FIORI. BTC knowledge is a plus.
- Complete understanding of the integration points between SAP’s core modules and the inter-dependencies around Finance/Controlling, Order Management, and Warehouse management (EWM).
- Core Participation in 4 or more full life cycle SAP implementations, achieving production status.
- BA/BS in computer science.
- Ability to think “process” and “best practice” rather than just function along with a solid understanding of end-to-end processes like “order to cash”.
- Sound and accurate judgment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent planning and organizing skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Adept at developing system requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, training, and implementing business solutions, while achieving deadlines and budget goals.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
- Highly motivated self-starter who is innovative and quick to learn.
- On-call availability for project go-live and off-shift support.
- Flexible schedule to align with other program resources.
- Flexible to travel as needed or deemed necessary (domestic & international).
