Summary: 

The S4 HANA Manager -Data and tools is responsible for managing data related activities and associated tool at Weber. The candidate works with IT Business partners and Technology team members to understand and review their requirements, design, and implement solutions, testing (unit testing and support various testing cycles). Also, this position will work closely with other teams (Master Data team, Technology team, Basis, and security teams) to understand and support data objects creation and mass maintenance. The candidate is also responsible for managing ECTR, PPAP and IPS solutions. The candidate will maintain effective relationships with the contractors and part time resources, System Integrator (SI), and other IT resources to leverage their knowledge and expertise to enable improved business processes to drive process optimization and simplification. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, and other duties may be assigned):

  • Lead and manage new data migration projects.
  • Design, develop and support data load solutions in the S4 HANA system (including TM and EWM) as per business requirements.
  • Analyze and document complex business requirements and performs impact analysis.
  • Develop technical documentation for data migration activities.
  • Responsible for resolving the help desk requests, including Break Fix and mass Data updates.
  • Manage data update tools such as Winshuttle.
  • Work with business users and LeverX team to support and manage existing ECTR, IPS and PPAP solutions.
  • Take an active role in change control processes for supporting data requirements for system changes, fixes, enhancements, etc.
  • Acts as a data governance lead and responsible for Info Stuart governance rules.
  • Work with IT functional team members and business partners throughout the process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
  • Lead and assist small to moderate size data related enhancements and projects (technical area).
  • Coordinate with SAP team and internal IT resources on critical/complex issues.
  • Mediate across different IT & business teams utilizing knowledge of roles and responsibilities within the organization.
  • Execute best practices for business analysis processes and functions (from an industry and strategic standpoint), including requirements elicitation methods. Knows emerging trends.
  • Continually build knowledge and stay abreast of current SAP functionality, capabilities, and technologies.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working as an S4 HANA/SAP Data conversion lead. Prior team lead experience is required.
  • Core Participation in 4 or more full life cycle SAP implementations, achieving production status.
  • Basic level of understanding of data load methods/ETL tools such as SAP BODS, LSMW, Winshuttle etc., is required.
  • Experience in data management including leading the data migration execution (cleansing, extracting, staging, transforming, loading, and verification of SAP data), running mock loads and data verification/validation cycles, resolving data defects, providing expertise and implementing processes for data governance, etc
  • Data profiling and cleansing approach expertise (reasonable knowledge of common tools used)
  • Design and leadership of mock loads and data verification/validation cycles
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional team members with complex schedules against a published plan.
  • Team lead expertise – stream planning, status reporting, managing governance, managing the team against the plan, escalating risks/issues/decisions/changes, budget management, etc.
  • Experience leading team members and users through new data concepts (Data Stewards, Data Governance, Mock Loads, Data Object Master, Data Owners, etc.)
  • BA/BS in computer science.
  • Ability to think “process” and “best practice” rather than just function along with a solid understanding of end-to-end processes like “order to cash”.
  • Sound and accurate judgment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is innovative and quick to learn.
  • On-call availability for project go-live and off-shift support.
  • Flexible schedule to align with other program resources.
  • Flexible to travel as needed or deemed necessary (domestic & international).
