Summary
We are seeking a skilled Reporting Analyst with data visualization skills to join our team. The candidate will build and maintain data models in Power BI and scale reporting and data visualization capabilities. The candidate will communicate effectively with stakeholders about the available datasets and the relevant KPIs that measure the impact of data-driven decisions. The candidate will also provide guidance and support to help stakeholders use the data tools and platforms more efficiently and confidently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, and other duties may be assigned):
- Create, maintain and enhance Power BI datasets and dashboards to meet the reporting needs
- Connect to data sources, importing data and transforming data for reporting needs
- Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements
- Implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
- Collaborate with the Team to ensure data integrity, security, and efficient Power BI deployment
- Optimize the datasets to improve reports and dashboards performance and usability
- Conduct a data verification process to ensure accuracy and maintain data quality standards
- Identify and develop test plans to ensure that data sets meet the needs of the business. Conduct thorough unit/system/regression tests of dashboards and data prior to deployment to stage, UAT and production.
- Coordinate with team members in finding root-cause of problems and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain documentation for datasets. Maintain glossary for KPI definitions
- Provide training and support to end-users, leveraging your extensive experience for effective utilization of Power BI task management tools.
- Learn new concepts and technologies quickly and adapting to the changing business environment
- Work independently and in a fast-paced environment with limited technical guidance
- Stay current with Power BI advancements and recommend enhancements to existing processes.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, data science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a data analyst, BI analyst, or related profession
- 3 years of proven experience in designing and implementing Power BI reports and dashboards
- Strong understanding of task management processes and methodologies
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysis
- Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts like SQL Server, AWS, Azure, Snowflake
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity
- Able to quickly grasp new concepts and understand the business, business needs and reporting architecture
- Able to work with little supervision while being accountable for individual and departmental results
Technical Requirements:
- Excellent in tabular and multidimensional data modelling, data transformations, DAX language, M-code, visualizations and architecture
- Expert in developing KPI visualizations and advance level DAX calculations on the data set while using SQL server as the source for the data
- Expert in implementing row-level security on datasets
- Expert in writing and modifying complex T-SQL queries, in complete alignment with business requirements
- Capable of prototyping, designing and building scalable "out-of-the-box" solutions in Power BI overcoming tool limitations
- Adept in troubleshooting issues, publishing and scheduling Power BI dashboards as per requirements
- Perform admin activities in Power BI such as managing workspaces, security roles, data sources and refresh schedules
