The Master Data Coordinator is responsible for entering master data and validate entries per the controlled documented procedures, and governance rules and standards. This role will set up data in the system for hundreds of data points per item to be manufactured. They will also be proactive in looking for process improvements. Working closely with Engineering change group to process any and all BOM updates, as well material updates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter new for BOM’s given to us by the engineering department into SAP system accurately – master data, P-BOM (purchasing), S-BOM (service), 1-BOM (production), routings, dimensions and weights, assign UPC/EU. The types of materials maintained are; finished goods, replacement parts, HALB (work in process), ROH (raw materials), and UNBW (reference materials) materials.

  • Entering all master data in SAP ECC/ S4 HANA.

  • Follow Master Data workflow closely to ensure correct data is put in, and on time.

  • Create and maintain data label information into AS400 accurately

  • Create and maintain new procedures for processes completed in systems used.

  • Create and maintain trouble shooting process, error list actions to be taken to solve error.

  • Communicate concerns: missing information or not defined by departments that are responsible for supplying data.

  • Executes the processes for material data maintenance in SAP, data cleansing (e.g. status change, change of valuation classes and procurement type changes) and extensions of existing material data in US plants/Sales organizations

  • Ensures respect of processes and standards; enforces process compliance in own area

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Support to commercial users in material area, including verification of materials, issue detection and troubleshooting, mass maintenance

  • Resolve any issues submitted to MDT thru Service Now ticket system.

  • Proactive support to colleagues in other data maintenance organizations

  • Active participation to process improvement

  • Support EC change and execution

  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's degree and/or 2-3 years of experience working with SAP

  • Knowledge of SAP or ERP system. Knowledge of S4 is a plus.

  • Understanding BOM structure

  • Data Integration & Data Enrichment

  • Lead and assist small to moderate size enhancements and projects

  • Computer Data Entry skills with high accuracy required

  • Must have Knowledge of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word and Access

  • Have the knowledge and ability to use Winshuttle Transactions and Queries.

  • Have the ability to use and create new help desk tickets for any master data changes within SAP

  • Must have strong and accurate SAP data entry skills
