The Manager, U.S. F&A will be responsible for supporting the accounting and finance function for the U.S. Business Unit.  Reporting to the Director, U.S. F&A, this position will play a key role in reporting the financial results and developing the annual financial plans and latest estimates. This individual will demonstrate the ability to work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Product Development and be a key business partner to driving the profitable growth of the U.S. business. This role will require a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the application in a complex business environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops the long-term Strategic Plan in partnership with the U.S. team.

  • Partners with the U.S. Sales and Marketing leadership team to analyze business fundamentals and recommend interventions to drive growth across the US business.

  • Lead U.S. online digital channel strategy through ownership of developing channel specific P&L, category and product profitability, and marketing strategy to grow channel

  • Owns monthly SG&A budgets for the U.S. business to ensure compliance with the business plan; works cross functionally with department heads regarding the budget on a monthly basis – identifying any potential cost savings opportunities.

  • Works closely with Corporate Finance and Accounting on closing of monthly regional accounts; leads discussion of monthly financial report and commentary regarding financial results.

  • Analyze and review sales programs and sales terms for the U.S. customers which include payment terms, sales allowances and discounts, rebate programs, and freight terms on shipments, etc.

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Product Development to ensure profitable returns on new product launches, productivity programs, and manufacturing footprint and location

  • Partner with Sales Planning team to create the demand and sourcing plan; track monthly and quarterly Key Performance Indicators to identify gaps to plan and proactively recommend solutions to ensure product demand

  • Assists in development of margin enhancement programs through focus on higher margin products and potential pricing adjustments.

  • Prepares and presents monthly financial reports and analyses to executive leadership.



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance; MBA or advanced degree in related field preferred. 

  • 6+ years of related accounting and finance leadership experience.

  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • Experience in consolidation tools is a plus and previous experience with SAP preferred.

  • Proficient in business analytics and financial modeling.

  • Strategic and critical thinker with a strong business acumen, possessing an ability to clearly articulate a plan and manage the necessary details to deliver the plan by leveraging resources across the organization.

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP reporting rules and regulations.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with all levels of management.

  • Strong leadership skills and an optimism and natural drive to deliver results.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate into impactful business results.
