Systems Engineer

Summary: Provides systems engineering support for assigned product development projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Focus on how to execute, integrate, and validate electromechanical systems with the goal of hitting all performance specifications over changing mechanical parts, software, and product life cycles.
  •  Maintain and update the field of prototype products.
  •  Play key role in specification, testing validation and execution of new software updates.
  •  Provide intermediary engineering support for all aspects of the new product development.
  •  Differentiate/ identify electromechanical system failure modes.
  • Support non-NPD initiatives including the resolution of quality issues and productivity. 
  • Hands on worker.
  • Cross functional communication skills.
  • Understanding of electromechanical interactions.
  • Leadership, oversee the availability of technical resources.
  • Defining, testing and maintaining of software and software specifications.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering tools.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience is typical for this role.
  • Demonstrated design and analytic skills
  • Degreed engineer, BSME, BSEE, BSIE preferred
