The Digital Content Designer is accountable for hands-on design, art direction and production of a range of omni-channel communications that help consumers choose and use Weber products. In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team to craft a variety of creative assets that support Global New Product launches including product naming, logo design, in-store POP, landing pages, PDP pages, brochures, product photography, product overview and how-to videos as well as visual support for retailer sell-in presentations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and passion for providing art direction for product photography and video.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Become a master of Weber product features and benefits, the grilling experience, the retail and competitive landscape, the consumer shopping journey, the Weber brand style guide and brand best practices to support global new product launches across a wide range of media and platforms with focus on Weber-owned digital, social, video and in-store experiences
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to conttribute to visual product storytelling across a range of digital and print media - crafting engaging, impactful visual communications, designs, layouts and experiences appropriately styled for each medium to ensure consistency of experience throughout the consumer shopping journey
  • Support the Associate Creative Director, Content Producer, and outside production partners with art direction for photo and video shoots throughout the process from pre-production to shoot to post-production – including developing shot lists and storyboards; recommending styling, propping, culinary features; & set design
  • Partner with copywriters throughout the creative development process to ensure seamless integration of verbal and visual communication, with attention to message hierarchy, emphasis, and story flow
  • Package and present creative solutions for internal meetings in partnership with copywriter (such as layouts with copy in place, social posts, storyboards) in well-organized decks supported with thoughtful rationale
  • Ensure all creative executions align with brand guidelines and are stylistically accurate and consistent
  • Synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders including Product, Channel and Marketing Leads; Digital Strategists; Group Creative Director and others, rethinking creative approach as needed and providing fresh solutions to challenges
  • Adhere to timelines and expectations for interim and final creative deliverables as established by Creative Operations Senior Manager and Associate Creative Director
  • Utilize project management system (Workfront) consistently for timely sharing of work and team communication
  • Communicate with Creative Operations Senior Manager and Associate Creative Director on timely and consistent basis and engage in relevant status meetings to prioritize and manage timelines and deliverables
  • Contribute to the culture of the in-house creative team, promoting a spirit of positivity and teamwork
  • Demonstrate drive for continuous learning and growth, engaging in the latest digital technologies, creative development tools, social media best practices, retail innovation, culinary and lifestyle trends to raise the level of creative work and build the Weber brand

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Advertising, or related field 
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Digital Content Designing or Art Direction role at a shopper/digital marketing agency or in-house creative team at a leading consumer brand or retailer
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in omni-channel creative development, with focus on mid- and lower-funnel activations including POP and retail marketing, e-commerce design, photo art direction, video production
  • Versatile designer with ability to concept and execute engaging product stories across multiple channels and mediums, adapting the content and style appropriately for relevancy and impact at each touchpoint
  • Strategic, conceptual thinker and problem-solver with ability to synthesize complex information into simple, easy-to-understand content
  • Collaborative, team-oriented individual who embraces the value of working in partnership with copywriters and is open-minded to and inspired by ideas and feedback from others and respectfully shares theirs in return throughout the iterative creative development process
  • Articulate communicator, with ability to sell ideas to internal stakeholders supported with compelling strategic rationale
  • High attention to detail, skilled at building well-prepared and proofed layouts and presentations
  • Organized, efficient and agile – able to meet deadlines with ease while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can flex to deliver a wide scope of creative asks from conceptual to executional
  • Resourceful and self-motivated, proactively seeks out information and fresh sources of inspiration to optimize creative output
  • Curious learner, eager to take on new challenges, implement new approaches and push beyond comfort zone
  • Savvy about marketing, industry, lifestyle and cultural trends – stays on top of what’s happening in social media, influencers, fashion, music, food, sports and more
  • Interest in grilling and cooking or prior food or lifestyle brand marketing a plus!
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Microsoft Office

 

Salary Range: $80,000-90,000

     *This salary range represents Weber's good faith belief of what we reasonably expect to pay the top candidate
