Summary

The Director of e-Commerce Sales, Amazon will collaborate with the VP of Sales to drive profitable growth for Amazon and other smaller e-Commerce accounts.  The Director of e-Commerce Sales, Amazon will lead Search & Display Campaigns (in partnership with 3P agency), Amazon Budget, Brand Protection Management (through partnership with Vory’s legal firm), and be the point person for the buying team.  This role will work closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Forecast Analyst, Supply Chain Manager and Content Specialist.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Sales goals – Develop and execute Omni-channel sales strategies to drive aggressive revenue and market share growth; deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets.

 

  • Forecasting – Deliver a unit and dollar sales forecast that aligns with consumer/customer demand.

 

  • Brand Protection – Lead Efforts to protect the Weber brand online from counterfeit, MAP Violators and unknow sellers. Know and understand Transparency, Brand Registry and Project Zero. 

 

  • Customer Meetings – Coordinate, plan, and facilitate meetings with accounts (i.e. Line Reviews and Top to Top).

 

  • Business Acumen – Possess a thorough understanding of the customer P&L and manage the business with a General Manager mindset.

 

  • Account Partnerships – Develop influential relationships with key decision makers and executives at all levels with new & existing customers; develop joint business planning structure and processes.

 

  • Account scorecard – Deliver monthly performance and key metric scorecards and provide meaningful insights on customer and market performance.

 

  • Leadership – Provide strategic thought leadership to the organization on product development, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and assortment optimization opportunities with key customers.

 

  • Supply Chain Partnership - Identify opportunities to improve supply chain, operations, or product packaging initiatives to support and grow the business.

 

  • Customer Program - Negotiate Weber’s annual marketing, advertising support, and volume commitment programs.  Work closely with Director of Finance to ensure sales and profitability align with our goals.

 

  • Effectively communicate and gain support for Weber’s Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) program.

 

  • 3P Marketplace Monitoring – Manage the 3P marketplace in partnership with 3P agency.

 

  • Advertising Campaigns – Budget & drive the plan for Amazon in partnership with 3P agency. 

 

  • Amazon Vendor Services – Manage internal Amazon AVS representative

 

  • Amazon Vendor Negotiation – Lead all negotiations in partnership with VP of sales

 

  • Ad Planning and Execution – Prime Day, T5 and other MAP promotions

 

  • Manage Day to Day Interactions with Amazon - Andon Cord management, Vendor Central, and daily Amazon activities.

 

  • Internet Authorization Policy Management – Be the expert within Weber to work with Vory’s to manage and enforce the policy

 

 

Education, Qualifications and/or Experience:  

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 15 years sales experience, preferably in consumer products
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success directly managing Amazon, including experience calling on Amazon headquarters
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead sales and business development for a strategic segment of the business
  • Possess strong conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships and key partnerships
  • Possess strong business and financial acumen
  • Proven success coaching and leading business professionals
  • Proven success developing, presenting, and implementing business plans
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly enthusiastic and hands-on business approach
  • Skilled multi-tasker with a proven ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate into impactful sales results
