Summary:

We are looking for a BI Developer with a passion for data and who loves to stay on the edge of new techniques and technologies. We are looking for experience with cloud-based data warehouses, as well as traditional BI experience will help modernize our BI landscape. This is an important role encompassing Weber's global systems and projects that use SAP ECC and S/4, SAP BW, HANA, Microsoft, Snowflake, and other advanced analytics and reporting tools, working towards breaking the barriers and promoting a data-driven culture throughout the company.

 

You will analyze, design, build, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain all BI applications. You will review and analyze user needs and design proposed system solutions based on requirements.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with partners and other IT areas to collect, shape, and use functional/requirements to then design and develop end-to-end solutions including ETL/ELT, governance, presentation as may be needed.
  • Develop methods to bring BI governance metrics (i.e. usage, memory, space, and queries).
  • Help evolve our analytical self-service/ad hoc reporting dashboards using existing or future toolsets.
  • Work with partners and our teams on resolving platform production defects and performance issues.
  • Work with partners to develop acceptance criteria/test cases to develop a comprehensive test plan and perform needed application testing
  • Participate and develop BI landscape strategy including setup to support multiple/parallel project deliverables.
  • Develop, document, and follow standard procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain all documentation, including business and technical application requirements, report requirements, and support documentation.
  • Document data requirements, source systems involved, and perform data profiling to help determine project feasibility.
  • Enforce organizational standards relative to system enhancements, changes, issues, and problems.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Data Analytics, Information Technology or related field
  • 10 years of work-related experience and 5 years related experience around Data Analytic tools and analysis.
  • Experience with BW 7.3/7.5
  • Experience with SAP Native Hana Modeling with HANA Studio and HANA Views.
  • Experience with SD, MM, or FICO modules with SAP ECC or S/4
  • SQL query language, ability to create stored procedures, views, and indexes.
  • Identify and implement programming logic and/or application improvements
  • Understand data and provide validation and analysis of the data
  • Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud, BOBJ, Analysis Office, Tableau, Power BI, etc., Knowledge of SAP BPC, BODS and would be beneficial
  • Experience in Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud would be beneficial
  • Enterprise integration technologies and API-led architectures, JSON, XML, and Java would be desirable.
  • Experience in several programming languages such as R, Python, Scala, or Java
