Summary Safely and efficiently move product into, through and out of the Global Distribution Center using powered industrial truck. Utilize RF scanner device. Read and communicate with warehouse management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Operate sit down powered industrial truck (both forks and clamp)
- Operate standup reach truck.
- Operate vertical lift, along with proper use of fall protection equipment.
- Responsible for unloading import/export containers and domestic trailers to receiving dock.
- Responsible for checking unloaded product for accurate models, and counts, and report any damage.
- Responsible for removing product from the receiving dock and putting away to proper storage locations.
- Read and understand various documentation for receiving product and putting into proper storage location.
- Read and understand various documentation for removing product from storage locations and staging in proper areas for outbound shipments.
- Properly stage product for safety and efficiency
- Operate handheld scanners.
- Required at times to verify and validate product counts, product to location accuracy, and/or overages & shortages throughout the warehouse.
- Verify staged product is accurately picked and staged.
- Is responsible for reporting any discrepancies in inventory (from storage locations or staged product)
- Is responsible to report any damaged product that is seen.
- Is responsible to label product properly with shipping labels when required.
- Load import/export containers and domestic trailers and verify that the trailers are in proper condition for them to be loaded (free of nails, debris, etc.)
- Verify the correct shipment is being loaded and properly record the container or trailer ID.
- Seal various import/export containers and domestic trailers
- Shrink wrap product.
- Hand stacking freight
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
English Language required for the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills
Basic skills; counting, addition & subtraction, multiplication & division. Basic computer skills needed to check stock and make appropriate transfers.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
