Ensure all automation production equipment and related operating systems are in safe operating condition and function without any downtime.


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure automation equipment uptime by performing preventative maintenance and set up on all automation equipment associated with automated packaging machines, packaging/assembly lines, conveyor systems, robots, etc.

  • Program robotic and automation equipment

  • Direct the development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives

  • Responsible for ensuring all employees adhere to Company policies, practices and safety guidelines

  • Provide input for employee performance evaluations

  • Keep track of tools and equipment that are needed to assemble the unit, and keep tools and equipment in good working order

  • Report production, scrap, rework, maintenance orders, engineering supports order, troubleshooting forms, etc.

  • Foster employee empowerment and lean thinking

  • Generate and enforce rotation schedule.

  • Pre-approve first piece inspection prior to start of shift

  • Communications with all levels of employees in all departments (manufacturing, quality, maintenance, etc.)

  • Ensure Safe operations of all automation equipment

  • Monitoring quality of production by self-check, successive checks and comparison to quality standards

  • Active with troubleshooting and continual improvement of the process



  • Adherence to all Safety requirements and PPE (personal protective equipment)

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting environment

  • Maintain proper housekeeping

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively with all levels of employees within organization.
