How will you impact the team-

 

As an Independent Operator you will safely and efficiently move product into, through and out of the Global Distribution Center using powered industrial truck. Utilize RF scanner device. Train temporary employees and team member on process and procedures. Read and   communicate with warehouse management.

 

What will you do-

 

  • Develop a strong working relationship with the warehouse team at all levels to ensure timely and consistent communication and understanding of both floor issues.
  • Ability to handle responsibilities effectively and interface with internal and external customers.
  • Direct the development and implementation of activities in warehouse areas to meet goals, quality and cost objectives.
  • Train new temporary workers and team members on the following:
  • Proper operation of a Clamp Truck, Raymond, and Scissor Lift
  • Receiving
  • Training with unloading: container, TL, MFG, put ways, bin to bins (consolidation) etc.
  • Shipping
  • Train on the complete picking process from start to finish, review TO, Lane, pick order, scan order, label order, wrap order etc.
  • Train on proper steps and procedures for loading
  • Train on miscellaneous housekeeping and introduction to 5s
  • Train on miscellaneous safety rules and guidelines
  • Keep management team informed of all pertinent information and developments
  • Ability to adjust to the changing needs of a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Keep track of tools and equipment that are needed to pick/ship orders and ensure they     are in good working order
  • Ensure orders are picked/shipped accurately
  • Ensure products are shipped on time
  • Active with troubleshooting and continual improvement of process
  • Foster employee empowerment and lean thinking
  • Recommend and distribute overtime per company policy
  • Generate and enforce rotation schedule.
  • Must be able to complete all the tasks of a warehouse associate, Drive equipment, pick orders etc.

 

Tools needed to thrive-

  • High School Diploma, GED or 1-2 years of Manufacturing Experience
  • Ability to work Independently
  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Time Management
