Summary: Performs daily tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Reviews and investigates discrepancies found in locations on a daily basis. Communicate all findings and/or results of investigations to zone coordinator, and department managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies:
    • Problem solving skills to identify and resolve inventory problems for the area responsible for in a timely manner.
    • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
    • Strong communication skills to report all findings of investigations to zone coordinator.

Cycle counts

    • Quantity – completes daily cycle counts in a timely manner. Strives to increase productivity.
    • Quality – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve inventory accuracy. Verbalized feedback to improve production performance.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations to zone coordinator in a timely manner.

 

    • Review daily the negative report
    • Investigate and report findings to coordinator and or department managers.
    • Report why the negative inventory occurred.
    • Identify what department will fix the negative inventory.

 

  • Work with departments in determining inventory
    • Review and work with inventory coordinator on the safety stock levels in areas.
    • Review how well the safety stock levels are working for production and purchasing; make changes where necessary.
    • Recommend changes to current safety stock levels.

 

  • Kanbans
    • Review, maintain and order kanban parts from several sources on a daily basis which the coordinator and department manager have established.
    • Order kanban items in a timely manner according to procedure.
    • Report all discrepancies when material has been received.

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise, heat and dust levels in the work environment are sometimes higher.
