How will you impact the team-

 

You will be operating a mobile equipment to receive loads and distribute materials within departments safely and accurately.  You will also be inspecting the material before it is put in any location and or packed away.  Maintain warehouse space by stacking products safely in logical order.

 

What will you do-

 

  • Works with the flow of parts/materials to and from storage locations by driving forklift or clamp truck to appropriate location (loading and unloading parts)
  • Issues requested materials to requested stations
  • Reads tags which include numbers, descriptions, and destinations
  • Checks the load tag information and confirms correct material is being moved
  •  Maintains inventory accuracy by moving materials to designated storage locations
  • Answers and responds to radio calls from supervisor and other department employees
  • Inspects the material before it is put in location or packed away and maintains warehouse space by stacking in a logical order
  • Accurately loads/unloads materials by use of the forklift or clamp truck, reviews packing slips or put-away sheets to detect discrepancies
  • Maintains forklift by completing forklift check list daily. (Checks fluids, breaks etc.)
  • Contact department supervisor for repairs
  • Monitors quality of production by self-check, successive checks, and comparison to quality standards.
  • Picks parts for stock transfer orders to other Weber plants
  • Utilize an RF scanner to scan material that is being moved in and out
  • Assist with yearly cycle counts and inventory needs
  • Work in a safe manner and ensure to follow all company policies and procedures

Tools needed to thrive-

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or 1-2 years of Manufacturing Experience
  • 2-3 years of Forklift experience (Sit-down, Standup, Clamp is a plus)
  • Must be able to pass a Forklift evaluation along with a written 
  • Ability to work Independently
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Basic Math Skills
