Job Title:

Clerk – Shipping/Receiving

Department:

GDC

Summary

Processes all transactions and documentation pertaining to Import, Receiving LTL, TL, & Export Import and subsequent billing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned

  • Release TO’s/Shipments and labels for LTL, TL & Exports
  • Schedule TL appointments
  • Schedule LTL pick ups
  • Enter all shipment types into 3 relevant Excel documents
  • Notify retail Will Call customers of pending pick up
  • Confirm process-confirmation and serial number verification, YM-vehicle and lane creation, print packing list and case verification
  • File all paperwork in proper bin/staging area
  • Coordinate with security – driver check in and proper dock door
  • Check in driver(s) and convey loading instructions
  • Communicate with supervisor loads that are ready and seal requirements
  • Complete process of BOL’s verify and perform any post loading processes
  • Verify drivers are checked in and out per policy
  • Send out BOL’s as required to appropriate departments
  • Adhere and enforce Safety policy
  • Actively participates in annual inventory
  • Run required reports to assist in maintaining stock requirements
  • Create transfers for sales orders (all plants)
  • Arrange and track Import containers with trucking company R&M and record material by containers
  • Designate warehouse delivery location for containers by material needs
  • Process good receipts for Export parts orders
  • Coordinate current space & inventory between warehouses (GDC1 and 1001)
  • Create and release transfers orders & STO’s for outbound deliveries
  • Receive inbound loads, create Goods Receipt
  • Process put away TO’s
  • OS&D follow up and paperwork
  • YM (yard management) check in, start & stop unloading process
  • Bin to Bin transfers
  • Back up Inventory control on Thursdays for Will Calls
  • Communicate with all levels of internal and external customers as required
  • Adhere and enforce Safety policy
  • Actively participates in annual inventory

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP software and basic MS Office suite.
