Cell Team Lead

Summary: Responsible for directing warehouse employees in the assembly, picking, packing, and shipping of replacement parts. This includes ensuring adherence to work schedule and assignment, employee training, ensuring quality and quantity requirements are met, ensuring all paperwork is correct, evaluating staffing requirements, administrating safety, communication, teambuilding, efficiency, discipline, vacation scheduling, etc.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Develop a strong working relationship with the warehouse staff to ensure timely and consistent communication and understanding of both floor and plant issues.
  • Ability to handle responsibilities effectively and interface with internal and external customers.
  • Direct the development and implementation of activities in warehouse areas to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Keep management team informed of all pertinent information and developments.
  • Responsible for ensuring all employees adhere to Company policies, practices, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to adjust to changing needs of a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Initiate disciplinary action with management and HR when warranted.
  • Provide input for employee performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that required inventories are available and ready for distribution.
  • Keep track of tools and equipment that are needed to assemble the unit as well as keep tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment and tools as required.
  • Report production, scrap, rework, maintenance orders, engineering supports order, troubleshooting forms, etc.
  • Active with troubleshooting and continual improvement of process
  • Foster employee empowerment and lean thinking – be a leader within the 5S program.
  • Recommend and distribute overtime per company policy.
  • Generate and enforce rotation schedule.

Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Ability to lead up to 30 people in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2-5 years’ experience in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
