Summary
The National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for the day-to-day duties that support Weber Blackstone’s strategic sales plans specific to The Home Depot (THD). The NAM executes tactical plans developed in collaboration with the Sales Director helping to achieve aggressive sales and market share objectives. The NAM will ensure that required support documentation, including category analytical data, is produced accurately and in a timely manner. Critical to this position is the support and interaction with internal cross functional teams, including merchandising, sales, forecasting, planning, operations, and marketing. Close collaboration with THD contacts in Merchandising, IPR, Marketing, and Brand Advocate is crucial for this role.
This position is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA.
Essential Duties:
- Develop multi-year sales growth initiatives in collaboration with Sales Director to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Continuously analyze and report sales and business conditions utilizing Home Depot VendorDrill, Askuity, and internal resources.
- Conduct market research to determine viable product mixes within national planograms.
- Identify opportunities and trends both within Weber Blackstone and from competitive products to help inform THD account plans.
- Help identify events and product displays, then work in cooperation with core team (product management, forecasting, and logistics) to produce, sell, and execute with THD
- Provide product training and demonstrations of products to drive associate and customer engagement and proficiencies
- Travel as required by business conditions to call on key customers, gather market intelligence or attend shows and charity events.
- Work in cooperation with sales leadership and forecasting team to gather retail POS, analyze category, predict future business, and suggest alternatives.
- Lead collaboration with internal Weber Blackstone Field Sales teams and external Home Depot Merchandising Execution Team (MET) partners
- Track purchase orders, forecasts, inventory levels, on time shipments and relevant data to ensure smooth daily operations of both Core and Online businesses at THD
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with THD personnel. Including, but not limited to: Sr Merchant, Associate Merchant, IPR Analyst, Brand Advocate, Marketing Manager, and Merchandising Execution Team (MET).
- Ensure best in class online execution for Weber Blackstone brand by collaborating with Online Merchant and Brand Advocate.
- Provide voice of the customer feedback to Weber Blackstone leadership.
- Ability to self-start and move forward special projects and sales initiatives in a timely manner.
- Work with all departments to resolve any issues that would inhibit business with THD (i.e. returns, mis-ships).
- Assist Sales Director with annual PLR presentation, continuous business reviews, and follow up activity.
- Lead special event coordination such as: Store Manager Meeting & Product Walk, Memphis in May event, and other special activations.
Education, Qualifications and/or Experience:
- Four-year college degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3+ years sales experience, preferably in consumer products
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven success directly managing regional and national retailers, including experience calling on big-box DIY
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to understand retail sales
- Possess strong conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships and key partnerships
- Possess strong business and financial acumen
- Proven success developing, presenting, and implementing business plans
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP
- Skilled multi-tasker with a proven ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate into impactful sales results
- Experience with Home Depot Supplier Hub, VendorDrill, and Askuity is preferred, but not required

Salary Range: $131,600- 148,400, this role is also eligible for participation in Weber Blackstone's bonus program
