Summary
This position is designed to act as a supervisory point of contact and resource for internal and external Weber customers pertaining to the order fulfillment, transport, coordination and delivery of Weber product. The International Logistics Supervisor leads the team that facilitates the on-time, in-full transportation of products from one destination to another to meet customer demand utilizing all modes of transport. The International Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coaching, mentoring and advocating for their employees while ensuring alignment with the greater Weber strategic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including the following, other duties may be assigned
- Oversee the US import/export documentation and/or movement of products between global locations while analyzing cost saving opportunities and meeting international customer requirements
- Ensure employee dangerous goods training is current and all proper declarations are made in compliance with DOT/IMDG/IATA regulations
- Provide training and guidance to team members and collaborate with other supervisors/managers within supply chain to ensure regional fulfillment targets are reached
- Assist to establish, communicate, and enforce new policies and procedures related to Logistics
- Take proactive measures to remedy customer issues with internal Weber teams, Warehouse personnel and all Weber LSP’s
- Work with the leadership team to streamline export load planning, shipping, and optimize transportation processes to ship on-time and in full
- Provide support and direction on all system and process requirements necessary to support global expansion or network shifts relating to new mfg sources, warehouses, etc
- Possess a strong knowledge of SAP, Transportation Management Systems, Excel reporting, Customs Documentation and specific customer documentation requirements by country
- Work with leadership and the Forecast/Demand planning groups to manage inventory allocation amongst various teams/customers
- Set annual department goals aligned with corporate targets and initiatives; formally review and evaluate annual employee performance and growth plans against goals
- Monitor and approve team’s weekly timecards and attendance in accordance with HR policies, ensuring adequate business coverage on a daily basis
Supervisory Responsibilities
Must be able to mentor and supervise delivery logistics personnel
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelors Degree Required
